Study Abroad/Bard

CEU offers an exciting range of Study Abroad opportunities for advanced undergraduate students from around the world to participate directly in graduate-level courses as part of CEU's general graduate curriculum.

During their stay at CEU, students may join specific departments matching their academic interest. There is, however, freedom to choose courses from any of CEU's departments and programs.

Students can apply for the Fall semester (September - December), Winter semester (January - April), or a full academic year. Study Abroad students at CEU are allowed to take between 12-16 credits per semester.

CEU professional internship program

Study Abroad students also have the opportunity to participate in the credited professional internship program at various Budapest-based nonprofit organizations and private corporations. Choices include international affairs and international business, European integration, human rights, minorities' rights, asylum and refugee issues, women's issues, civil liberties, environment, education, public health, media, archival research, Jewish history and more.

Through Bard College, students from the United States have an exceptional chance to attend CEU in Budapest, to take graduate-level courses as undergraduates.

Students are enabled to create a semester of challenging and stimulating courses, chosen from across CEU’s curricula. Credit can be transferred easily to any US institution.

For motivated undergraduates who want to spend time at a truly international university, exchanging ideas with colleagues from more than 80 different countries.
